Education built on the systems we use in our shops every day — from a single observation day to a full twelve-week pathway. Taught by working barbers, designed for one outcome: better cutters behind better chairs.
Built on the fundamentals — sharpened for the modern chair.
Three offerings, three levels of commitment — designed to meet you where you are, whether you've never picked up a pair of scissors or you've been cutting for years and want to sharpen your work.
A full day in the shop watching real client work from start to finish. The cleanest first step into modern barbering, no hands-on pressure, no wasted scissors. Built for working barbers, hairdressers, and curious beginners.
Twelve Sundays of hands-on tuition. From your first scissor hold to your first paying client. Built for absolute beginners — no experience, no kit, no haircuts under your belt. Small groups, two tutors, real outcomes.
A small-group intensive for working barbers and hairdressers ready to level up. Two days behind the chair, walking through the systems we use to deliver consistent, high-quality cuts at pace. One tutor, four to five seats.
Most barbering courses end with a certificate and a question mark. Ours ends with a chair, a clientele, and — for most of our graduates — a job on our team.
Two cohorts. Ten graduates. Eight now working at Space Male Image — across both Hessle and Cottingham. The rest have placed in the industry or are actively pursuing positions.
A short selection from our 2025 and 2026 cohorts. The full set lives on each course page.
"I'm now 9 months into my barber career, 6 months post-course, and nearly fully booked. It was tailored, supportive, and helped me get to a point where I could cut hair with confidence — a point that seemed unattainable before I started."
"They made sure I was shop-ready at the end and even helped a lot of us find a place to work. This course has left me in a position I never thought I'd be in straight after."
"The 12 weeks gave me a foundation to build a clientele and a career. The educators clearly want the best for their students — alongside the cutting, I was taught business skills and life skills."
The room is one of three rails. Behind it: the shops, the team, the line. Take a look.
Whether you're starting from scratch or sharpening years of work — there's a way in.
